Nature Camps

Explore nature using all of your senses!

In Summer 2010 your children aged 4-12 will have an incredible time exploring the wilderness of Eugene’s historical Hendricks Park or Wild Iris Ridge, through nature activities for kids, such as songs, stories and walks, and by observing plants and animals with all of their senses.

What's do you see in Nature? For several years now Dancing Sol has run Summer Nature Camps that are unlike any other. During each week of camp, kids experience the whole spectrum of nature as they learn about hazards, tracking and mammals, edible/medicinal/ poisonous plants, ecology and natural communities, trees, survival skills, birds and bird language.

Every year we’ve expanded the age range of children that we mentor, and are excited to announce that this year we will be guiding children aged 4-12!

To be able to serve such a wide age range we have partnered with the founders of ReWild Eugene, Matt and Anna Bradley, and created a new organization called Whole Earth Nature School. Please visit us there to see our schedule for this year’s Summer Nature Camps. UPDATE: We’ll be offering a special weeklong overnight nature camp for teens this summer! Visit http://WholeEarthSchool.com to learn more!

Whole Earth Nature School will not only be operating Summer Nature Camps, but also offer an after-school nature program called Coyote Kids! at Eugene elementary schools. Drop on over and see what else we’re creating… and learn how your child can participate! WholeEarthSchool.com
